Gordon Alexander Candelin

Gordon is a senior advisor working at the intersection of brand, strategy, and execution. He brings nearly 30 years of experience supporting organizations where brand decisions carry material business and reputational risk.

Gordon was most recently an Associate Partner at McKinsey & Company, where he led digital and service design across Southeast Asia. He worked with senior leadership teams on new venture builds, large-scale transformations, and mission-critical brand and experience initiatives across sectors including technology, healthcare, finance, and consumer businesses.

Prior to McKinsey, Gordon was an award winning designer and creative technologist, combining deep craft with hands-on execution. He holds a master’s degree in user experience design and has spent much of his career operating directly inside complex delivery environments — shaping not just strategy, but the systems and experiences through which strategy becomes real.

Alongside his professional work, Gordon is deeply connected to design education in the region, having created the curriculum for for the Interaction Design program at Thailand's prestigious Chulalongkorn University and lectured there for many years.

Today, Gordon works selectively as a senior advisor to executives navigating high-stakes brand and experience decisions. His role is not to replace internal teams or external agencies, but to bring clarity where judgment is required — helping leaders frame trade-offs, assess partners, and make decisions that are strategically sound, execution-ready, and defensible at board level.

Gordon leads Faculty as a private advisory practice. Engagements are advisory-first, senior-led, and intentionally limited.
